Shortest Daylight of the Year

We decided to show you all what the shortest "day" in Alaska looks like. I must admit that the camera did not take the best pictures of the amount of light. The dark is not as dark as it should be, and the light parts of day should turn out brighter. But at least it can give you an idea of how it is.

Well, at least the kids don't complain when it is "bed time". We would be going to bed at 3 when it got dark! At least that was the worst of it!

Wow, that is crazy!

Crazy! Just wait till summer and you'll be complaining about all the light! Have a Merry Christmas! I can't believe it's Christmas Eve tomorrow!

That's pretty cool!

We visited Alaska in May and it was so trippy because it never seemed to get dark. We ended up staying up way too late! I think I would just want to sleep all day if it was dark all the time.

Wow! Thanks for sharing! At least it is uphill from here right? I don't think I would be complaining in the summertime. There is nothing wrong with having more light.

Great idea to time pics every hour. I should do that next year. Cool.
