Deployment Tradition

To keep with Curtis' deployment traditions, Nick got pneumonia. He tends to wait until his dad is gone to do such things. Fortunately, with breathing treatments, he can keep his oxygen levels up enough that he doesn't have to stay at the hospital. So he takes lots of medicine and gets hooked up to a machine every 3 hours. But you know how deployment troubles run, they come in 3's. So wish me luck!

This Boy Loves His Shoes

Caleb LOVES to get into my closet and find my shoes. He thinks that they are "pretty"!! But at least when he is trying on shoes, he isn't making a huge mess somewhere!

They are both the same slide show. I don't know what I did wrong. Hopefully I will do better next time.

I found this in my files. I was making it for last Christmas to send out but never finished it. So I thought I would post it. Hope you enjoy it, even if it is not totally done.

Megan's First Apple

Megan found Caleb's apple that he put down. She quickly found what those 4 little teeth can do to an apple. Now there is no prying it away from her! Caleb will have to go get another apple.

Curtis Arrived in UAE

Curtis called me yesterday to tell me that he had finally arrived in UAE. His plane was delayed in Norfolk, VA for an extra day. When he got to the firestation there, he found that he knew some of the guys there from Japan. One of them is a newer convert to the church. The world seems to get smaller and smaller the more places we move!

Curtis Left Today!

Curtis left today for United Arab Emirates. He will be gone for 4 months. We will miss him so much. Nick tried to give him a "forever hug", but had to let go. Caleb kept crying to whole way to the park(we had a picnic after he left, to get their minds off it). But he stopped crying as soon as we got to the park! So 3 hours into this deployment, so far, so good.

Curtis found this spider and his brother last night downstairs in the basement. Terrible timing. Now I am going to have to work up the guts to go downstairs to do laundry!

Wood work

Curtis completed the first project of his new hobby. After purchasing some tools and two months of working off and on, he finished this bookshelf. It turned out so good that I am allowing him to buy a table saw with tax return money. Then he can make all the other things that I have planned for him.
