This week Curtis went with a friend down to the Copper River to get some salmon. Because the salmon are so plentiful, they used big nets to just scoop them up.

They caught 60 between them. (Which is way more than we will go through!!)

Every once in a while, Indiana Jones come back out. He has grown out of most of his attire, so he has to make do.

Caleb's real life Willie Scott. According to the neighborhood, Caleb and Cady have been married three times on the street. Caleb truly believes that when he is older, he will move back to Alaska and marry Cady. He doesn't realize yet that Cady won't be here much longer either!
We drove down to Seward. Along the way we stopped at Denali National Park. We have tons of pictures of Mt. McKinley so I suppose we didn't take any this trip. But this is the view from the visitors center.
It was a warm beautiful day and ice cream tastes great on those days.
The boys climbed a cliff during one of our pit stops. Seward is about 10 hours away down on the coast of the Kenai peninsula.

We stopped at a Wildlife Conserve. We were able to get pretty close up to some wildlife.

We stopped for dinner on Fox Island. Yummy food. We had no time to explore the island because the boys kept going back for more prime rib.

We made a trip up to the Arctic Circle. It has been something that I have always wanted to do while we are here in Alaska. It was a long trip but interesting and fun. It has been great to have my parents here so that we can show off a little bit of the amazing things we have around us.
Last week we drove up to the Yukon area to do some camping. It is about 3 hours north of us.
The mosquitos were terrible. 
We played for a while at the Yukon River. It is the 5th biggest river in North America.
We did some shooting. The boys shot the .22 and BB guns. Megan loved the BB gun also. She was all about taking her turn too.
Last night was the Midnight Sun Run in Fairbanks. The race began at 10 pm. It is a big deal here, and I am glad that we had the chance to participate before we left. The run is a 10k. There is a costume contest which is largely participated in. We wish we had dressed up too.
