Our Trip To Wisconsin

We arrived home yesterday after our two week long trip to Wisconsin. We had a great time. The weather was great. My sister and her family was able to make it up that week too, so we got to see them too. My dad needed some help around the yard, so Curtis burnt some cut down trees. Just the job for a firefighter!!
I finally gave in and let the boys get some BB guns. They had a great time with their dad learning how to shoot. They did surprisingly well for little guys.

We all spent the day down in Kenosha where my sister lives. She took us to the Jelly Belly factory where we got to go on a tour. It was fun. It kept the kids attention, and then we got to pig out on jelly bellies too. I tried bacon flavored, which tasted exactly like bacon, I mentally couldn't eat a bacon bean so I had to spit it out. Black pepper was nasty too. And I was tricked into eating Rotten Egg which was by far the worst. I should have known better than to fall for that trick!!

Well, we played and played. And it wore the boys out. Jake, the night owl, crashedhard one night reading a book.

Little Joey

Caleb is newly fascinated with kangaroos. He has started carrying them everywhere, especially his little "Joey". He wants to be one, and even tried to climb into my pants like they are a pouch!!

Best Friends

Nick's best buddy is our neighbor Hannah. They are two peas in a pod. It is great to see little ones develop friendships. Nick wakes in the morning and eats and gets dressed and runs out to see if Hannah is out waiting for him. They can play all day!

Loosing at Kickball

The boys new hobby is kickball. They play it at school, and they play it at home. But at home, they play with bigger kids. Well...Jake doesn't like loosing, and he looses a lot when he plays against the older boys!! But it is good to learn how to loose, and he is getting a lot of practice!

Just an update! The tadpoles didn't make it!! They had a few too many hands trying to help them.

Tadpoles

The boys helped find some tadpoles and crawdads and fish down in the creek. Curtis wants to see if the tadpoles will finish growing, but I wonder if they will live that long with all of the little hands in the water!!
Jake ran really fast into the house and went straight to the bathroom. It was the kind of behavior that makes a mother think, "Hmm....I wonder what is going on." So I found him filling the sink with a little fish in hand, making a new home for the fish. Needless to say, the fish had to go back outside.

Fishing In The Creek

Jake and Nick went with the big boys(age 10!!) to go fishing in the litte 6" deep creek behind our house. They were gone for a couple of hours, I could see their heads moving around from my window. They had fun, but I can tell that it is going to be a long summer of dirty boys and dirty clothes and shoes!!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

She is the ultimate split personality. Happy one minute, 30 seconds later, mad at the world. I guess this is what they say about raising girls. Wish me luck!!

Adventures With Rice Cereal

Today Megan decided that food wasn't so bad afterall. The boys think it is pretty neat to see their little sister eating big girl food. Now I just have to keep an eye on Caleb so he doesn't stick any Cheetos in her mouth!!

No Wonder He Was So Quiet.....

I get out of the shower to find my little Superman eating the brownies for dinner tonight. And then he was nice enough to put the dish down on the ground so Bella, the dog, could have some too!
