Christmas Program

Caleb and Megan's Christmas Carol school program was held in our village's church, Saint Mary's.  It is an old church dating back to the 1500's.  It was a unique experience to sing carols and listen to readings in such an old and beautiful historical place  

Roasted Chestnuts

While at a Christmas Fair we came across a booth selling warm roasted chestnuts.  We were so intrigued because of the traditional Christmas song while chestnuts in it.  We bought some and found out that roasted chestnuts are amazing.  We have a chestnut tree in the back of our garden and will certainly be gathering them this fall for more roasted chestnuts.

Butterbeer

 One Sunday evening we decided to make some Harry Potter Butterbeer.

 It was basically sugar, butter, more sugar, cream and soda.

Not many of us could actually finish the whole glass.

8 months old vs. 8 years old

Megan's Baptism

 Megan was baptized after her 8th birthday.  

Two sets of friends from Germany flew over to spend the weekend with us and celebrate Megan's baptism.

Halloween

 These freaky clown scared small children and adults alike.

The boys worked in a haunted house and enjoyed frightening all that entered.

Megan's 8th Birthday

 Megan celebrated her birthday with one of our ward's young women at our combined activity.  We went bowling at the base.

 Megan had her birthday party at the skating rink.  It was one of the easiest birthday parties I have thrown.  All the kids skated until they could barely stand up.  We enjoyed pizza and cake and ice cream.

Girls Days Out

 I am lucky to be here in England with a great group of friends.  

 We took a day while all the kids were in school to head over to an amusement park and ride the roller coasters.  

And we love to get together and eat!!

While in Germany at NCOA, Curtis had to opportunity to climb the highest peak in Germany with some friends.
