When we finally made it to British Columbia we stopped for the night in town called Dawson Creek. It is the start of the Alaskan Highway. We are excited to started to feel so close! Only 1441 miles to go!

We made it to Red Deer, Alberta. We stopped for dinner in Calgary. There was quite a bit of traffic(not too much but more than we have encountered lately). Jake became a little nervous and said, "Oh no, the first day in all my life to be in Canada, and it's stinkin' terrible!"
The kids have been travelling very well. Some days are "longer" than others but we are surviving and HALF WAY DONE!!!
When we first got to the monument we saw these mountain goats. That saved us a trip to the zoo!!
The boys were so excited to see Mount Rushmore. They were amazed at the size of the presidents. Jake said that he was glad that he could go there once in his life(I guess he's not going back again!)
While in South Dakota we had to stop at Wall Drug. Curtis had never been before. Needless to say, it was not that impressive.
We went through Iowa.....
Then Nebraska. We stopped for the night at Offutt Air Force Base outside of Omaha. Today was our shortest day scheduled but we needed it with our late start.
Well, there is not lots to do here in TLF(temporary living facility, a fancy name for a hotel). And since the boys are at school and Curtis is outprocessing the base, Megan and I are stuck here trying to think up things to do. So I admit that this video is not thrilling, but it is something new to add to the blog!!
P.S. You might have to turn off the music on the playlist to hear her!
