Swim Lessons

The boys started swim lessons last week. They are loving it. It is a good program; they teach them more than I thought that they would. Caleb is the youngest in his class and on a totally different level than most of the kids, but they work with him a lot. He has even become the buddy to one of the lifeguards, Tony. Tony swims with Caleb during his lifeguard breaks during open swim hours.

Jake's teacher called him a frog in the water. He loves to swim under the water and is mastering all the strokes. His favorite is the breast stroke.

Here is Nick going off the slide. It is in the deep end, which is a big deal to the kids. They think they are so tough!! They are already dreaming of being in Level III swimming next summer!

Our Sweet Baby!

I think that she is the sweetest baby around! Nick agrees!

Jake's Accident

Jake learned the hard way that if you need to throw up, you shouldn't be laying on your back in bed. I bet next time he gets to the bathroom quicker!

Caleb's Hand

Here is Caleb's hand. It is gross, but should heal in a couple of weeks. He has to wear a "cast" of bandages to keep in clean and moist. Another scar to add to his collection!!

Camping Trip

Well, 11 ticks and 1 emergency room trip in 3 days.....not bad for a camping trip! We left Monday for our camping trip. We camped nearby so we could decide what we needed in the pop up and were able to run home for anything we needed. Now we are fully stocked and ready for the next trip. Hopefully we won't have to find the nearest hospital next go round.

Caleb and his curious self wanted to check on our dinner in the little camp grill. He got a big nasty burn on his hand. He wrapped it up good. Later when we got a better look at it, we took him to the ER where he was treated with a second degree burn. It's ugly! Notice the bandaged hand in the picture.

Jake and Nick found the freedom of the open road. They got to ride their bikes on the road along the campground, up and down the loops. They loved it. Now, back on base, they have to stick to the boring old sidewalk!

Megan was a great camper. She loved being outdoors and sleeping next to daddy. Like the other woman in his life, she is a bed hog!
