Pool Withdrawal

It has been raining here for the last 4 days so we have been unable to go to the pool. I guess Caleb is in withdrawal because he was getting himself ready to go. He found the pool bag and you can see what happened. Curtis found him putting on his own sunscreen. So helpful!

Papa's Visit

Papa flew out last week to visit his dad in Arkansas. After his visit, he came up to spend a couple of days with us. The boys loved it. Jake and Nick spent a lazy Sunday afternoon sitting on his lap and watching Star Wars. Life doesn't get any better than that!!

Curt's Father's Day Surprise

The boys and I went to Olathe, Kansas, to get a pop up camper for Curtis for Father's Day. It is really neat. The boys love it. They think it is a big playhouse. We should be able to put some good wear on it through the next 20 years!!

Who Doesn't Like Oreos?

I gave Megan an oreo cookie to keep her from fussing while trying to get everyone rounded up after an afternoon at the pool. It kept her quiet. In fact, she loved it, but then again who doesn't like oreos?

Mama's Boots

Caleb loves to wear everyone else's shoes. Today my boots were the lucky pair. I think he looks pretty good!

Our Trip To Wisconsin

We arrived home yesterday after our two week long trip to Wisconsin. We had a great time. The weather was great. My sister and her family was able to make it up that week too, so we got to see them too. My dad needed some help around the yard, so Curtis burnt some cut down trees. Just the job for a firefighter!!
I finally gave in and let the boys get some BB guns. They had a great time with their dad learning how to shoot. They did surprisingly well for little guys.

We all spent the day down in Kenosha where my sister lives. She took us to the Jelly Belly factory where we got to go on a tour. It was fun. It kept the kids attention, and then we got to pig out on jelly bellies too. I tried bacon flavored, which tasted exactly like bacon, I mentally couldn't eat a bacon bean so I had to spit it out. Black pepper was nasty too. And I was tricked into eating Rotten Egg which was by far the worst. I should have known better than to fall for that trick!!

Well, we played and played. And it wore the boys out. Jake, the night owl, crashedhard one night reading a book.
